DIY Hand Scrub Recipe
If your hands are anything like mine at the moment, thanks to all the extra hand washing, they might be feeling very dry! Thankfully this DIY hand polish is just the ticket for a gentle, nourishing and delicious smelling scrub.
You may have spotted me mixing it up on Instagram back in the Winter when my hands were in need of some extra TLC then too!
This is how we made our scrub:
We added the following to a bowl:
1 tablespoon of jumbo oats
1 tablespoon of organic argan oil
2 teaspoons of brown sugar
1 teaspoon of local honey
2 drops of Bergamot essential oil
4 drops of Frankincense essential oil
2 drops of Mandarin essential oil
We mixed the ingredients, then applied to clean hands and gently rubbed together. We then rinsed off with warm water and patted our hands dry. The polish smells SO good and will leave your hands feeling super smooth.
Using a gentle polish once or twice a week is great for removing dry, dead skin from your hands, helping any moisturiser you use to really sink in and do it’s job. If you give this scrub a go, don’t forget to treat your hands afterwards too with a nourishing balm or hand cream.
Do let me know how you get on trying this and please do tag me @littlemaldod, if you share any photos on Instagram - I’d love to see!

N.B It’s important to remember that essential oils are powerful natural products and require caution when using, particularly if you’re pregnant or using with children. Do make sure you always follow appropriate guidelines for safe use.
